What will you learn
Hyphen Beauty School will prepare you from start to finish to work in a spa or to start your own practice. Every module begins with theory, followed by hands-on training. The modules consists of: Massage Theory, Ethics, Anatomy, Physiology, Contraindications, Equipment and Product Use, Infection control, Massage Therapy Techniques, Allied Modality Techniques and Successful Business Practices.
Prerequisites
No prior massage experience needed. You must have a high school diploma or GED by the time you graduate.
Course Duration
600 hours. If you attend classes two days per week from 9am to 9pm, you will complete the course in 4 months.
We have two slots for Massage classes:
- Mondays / Tuesdays from 9am to 9pm
- Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9am to 5pm.
At the end of the course, you will be invited to take the MBLEx exam.
Total Tuition
$7,790. This includes 4 months of instruction, a high-quality portable massage table, massage kit, all state board license and registration fees. We do not cover the cost of the MBLEx exam which you will need to schedule once you receive the invitation.
We use the latest edition of Milady’s massage textbooks which can be purchased via Amazon. The ISBN numbers are listed below in the FAQ.
Only $1,190 is due at enrollment. The balance of tuition can be spread out over the program. This equates to $1,400 per month until graduation. You will get a free set of Milady textbooks if you signup and pay in full using cash, check or Zelle.
We do not offer federal student loans or financial aid. However, most students will attest that this program is one of the best bang-for-your-buck programs in Orlando. Most students recoup their tuition within five months after graduation when working in a spa.
Career Opportunities
With a massage therapy license, you can practice in the various massage modalities. Most graduates continue onwards to work in a spa or to start their own spa.
